Mahalo! Meet the Behns!
Originally from Connecticut Libby, Rich & (the infamous) Ryan Behn have been living and breathing Maui for over 30 years and are now hand crafting the love and feel of the Isle for you to carry with you forever. Our island home surrounds us with endless beauty and we are awed on a daily basis. Lucky we live Hawaii!!!
We partner with local companies to obtain the materials used to make our products. They are happy to have a home for their discarded items and we are thrilled to get them! Woodworkers give us their scraps and local furniture and design stores provide us with discontinued samples. We scour yard sales and thrift stores for items that can be and repurposed. Often family and friends chip in to help fabricate our bags. All conscious minded product go into making our Maui Island Love items.
Our motto is: “The Journey Is The Reward” and we are grateful and thankful for each step along the way.
Ryan Behn
The one and only. Mr. Aloha. Ryan has a smile and shaka for everyone he meets. The future Mayor of Maui. Ryan is a Special Olympic Athlete participating in swimming, bocce and bowling. He volunteers at a senior center serving lunch and was recognized as one of Maui’s Volunteer Hero’s of the Year. Ryan loves music – playing drums, ukulele, keyboards and has a gift to “name that tune”. You will see Ryan working the Maui Island Love booth at local events. Be sure to come by and share the aloha.
